CRAIG OLDHAM//
A designer who writes, or a writer who designs? Does it f**king matter?
We hosted a very inspiring, funny and moving talk by Craig Oldham from @officeofcraig today at #FlockTalks.
Demonstrating to the emerging generation of designers that you don't need to fit into the traditional graphic design 'mould' to make a mark as a creative. Less of an exploration of past projects, Craig spoke of his deep connection with his South Yorkshire roots, and how this has influenced his practice.
Taking a deep dive into his book 'In Loving Memory of Work', a deeply personal exploration of the Miner's Strike, the second edition of which marks the 40th anniversary, and the series of books exploring the visual culture of cult films like The Shining.
Thank you Craig!

WOW//
Here we feature a section to the UoC Graphic Design® newsletter - WOW (Work Observed Weekly). This features an UoC Graphic Design® student's work we noticed during the week, that could be finished, in development or merely an ideation we think should be shared. This week we feature the work produced by 2nd year graphic student, George Harrison for his work on re-branding a museum. Great work!
